THE PASSOVER

The Passover, comes from when our Heavenly Father, sent the “Death Angel” over Egypt, when he  was slaying the firstborns of Egypt. In Hebrew, it is known as Pesach (meaning “passing over” or “protection”). During Passover the blood from a lamb was smeared over the doors of the believers. Passover is the holiday celebrating the Hebrews’ liberation from slavery in Egypt.

(Exodus 5:1 – 5:9, 7:8 – 7:13) KJV

According to the Book of Exodus, our Heavenly Father commanded Moses to tell the Israelites to mark a lamb’s blood above their doors and the door posts, so that when the Angel of Death Passover them, they would not be touched by the tenth plague, death of the firstborns. Passover 2024 begins on April 22, 2024, and ends on April 30, 2024. The date of Passover changes each year because the date is set not by the Gregorian Calendar but by the lunar-based Hebrew calendar, Passover always occurs during the Hebrew month of Nisan. It is during the time of Passover that Jesus (Yahushua) rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, not during the time of the pagan day of Easter. Easter is a celebration of the spring equinox for those that practice paganism.

“The Messiah rode into Jerusalem on the donkey on the 10th day of the 1st month, which is the day that the Passover lamb was set aside. From the 10th until the 14th day of the month, the Jewish people were to test the Passover lamb to make sure that it was without spot and without blemish. In that same period, the Messiah was tested and questioned by four different groups of Jewish leaders (Pharisees, Sadducees, Herodians, and Scribes). He was proven to be without spot and blemish. He would have partaken of the Passover meal with His disciples on the evening of the 14th day of the month.

John 18:28

“Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.”
